Temoside 20mg Capsule is used in treating a specific type of brain cancer. It is used to treat brain tumors if they return or get worse after standard treatment. It can also be used to treat other conditions, as determined by your doctor.
What is TEMOSIDE 20MG?
This medicine is an anticancer agent used for brain tumors. Temozolomide inhibits the development of cancer cells by slowing the growth of the cancer cells and spreading them in the body. Temozolomide is an anti-cancer drug (“antineoplastic” or “cytotoxic”). The drug is classified as an “alkylating agent.”
Temozolomide is an anticancer agent. it is used to treat patients with specific forms of brain tumors: newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme. Temoside is first used in combination with radiation therapy (concomitant treatment phase) and then alone (monotherapy treatment phase). Anaplastic astrocytoma and glioblastoma multiforme Temozolomide is used in these cancers if they return or get worse after standard treatment.
How TEMOSIDE 20MG work?
Temoside 20 Capsules is a cancer medicine. It enters brain tissues and works by damaging the genetic material (DNA and RNA) of cancer cells. This stops their growth and multiplication.
Use of TEMOSIDE 20MG?
Brain cancer:
Temoside uses in the treatment of brain cancer as a second-line treatment for stellate cell tumors and as a first-line treatment for polymorphic glioblastoma and metastatic melanoma.
Anaplastic astrocytoma
This medicine is used in treatment of anaplastic astrocytoma (a type of brain cancer).
Glioblastoma Multiforme
Temoside 20mg Capsule is used to treat glioblastoma multiforme (a type of brain cancer).
How to take TEMOSIDE 20MG?
- Swallow Whole Capsules. Do not crush, break, or chew.
- It should be taken orally as recommended by a doctor.
- It comes in 20, 100, and 250 mg capsules. The daily dose for adults is usually in the range of 150-200 mg. Take the medicine on an empty stomach, 2 or 1 hour before meals or at bedtime.

Overdose: contact your doctor immediately if you take an overdose of medicine.
Missed dose: If you miss a dose of 100mg temoside capsules, take it as soon as possible. However, if you are near your next dose, skip it and go back to your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.

Precautions
- Do not drink alcohol while taking Temozolomide.
- Your blood is often checked during treatment to monitor the side effects of temozolomide on blood cells, as other changes in blood cells, including leukemia, may be low risk.
- During treatment with temozolomide, medications may be prescribed to prevent nausea and other side effects.
- Be especially careful not to bleed after shaving or brushing your teeth.
- Avoid being near a sick or infected person. If you experience symptoms of reactivation of opportunistic infections (such as hepatitis B virus), see your doctor.
- Treatment with temozolomide can cause infertility, therefore male patients should be consulted about sperm preservation before treatment.
- Do not drive or use a car during treatment with temozolomide. This can cause tiredness and drowsiness.
Warnings
Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine in the following cases:
- Blood cells, such as the number of white blood cells, as well as red blood cells, and platelets, are significantly reduced (bone marrow suppression).
- Have had an allergic reaction to dacarbazine (an anticancer drug sometimes called DTIC)
- You are allergic to temozolomide or any of the other ingredients in this drug.
- You are allergic to temozolomide or any of the other ingredients in this drug.
- Liver or kidney problems
